Ashok Das to receive 2006 University Award for Graduate Teaching
Ashok Das,, Professor of Physics, has won the University Graduate Teaching Award in 2006.
He has thus become the fourth faculty member in the Department to receive this prestigious award, along with
Arie Bodek,, Arie Bodek, Professor of Physics and Chair of the Department of Physics and Astronomy, who has won the University Graduate Teaching Award in 2004.

The annual University Award for Graduate Teaching is given in recognition of a faculty member who has excelled in graduate instruction, especially in the University's doctoral programs. The award recipient is selected by the President, the Provost, and the University Dean of Graduate Studies.
The award carries a cash prize of $2,000 and will be presented at this year's doctoral commencement ceremony, May 2006.
