Orr Elected Fellow of the American Physical Society

picture Lynne H. Orr, Professor of Physics, has been named Fellow of the American Physical Society, the nation's leading professional association in physics. Election to APS Fellowship is recognition by one's peers of outstanding contributions to physics, and is limited to no more than one half of one percent of the membership.

Orr is a theoretical particle physicist. Her Fellowship citation reads

``For contributions to the phenomenology of the top quark and studies of gluon radiation in top quark production and decay''

and will be published in the March 2006 issue of APS news.
