McFarland Elected Fellow of the American Physical Society
Kevin S. McFarland, Professor of Physics at the University of Rochester, has been elected a Fellow of the American Physical Society. This is an honor accorded each year to less than one half of a percent of the members of the Society, which is the nation's leading professional association in physics.
Prof. McFarland, an Experimental Particle Physicist, was elected " For precision studies of the weak interactions of high energy neutrinos". McFarland's name and fellowship citation will be published in March 2006 issue of APS News.
