Douglass Awarded a Bridging Fellowship to Eastman School of Music for Spring 04.
Professor David Douglass from the Department of Physics and Astronomy (http://spider.pas.rochester.edu/mainFrame/people/pages/Douglass.html) has been awarded a Bridging Fellowship to spend the Spring 04 semester interacting with faculty at the Eastman School of Music.
Professor Doulglass's host at Eastman is Professor David Headlam (http://theory.esm.rochester.edu/headlam/webpage/headlam_content.html, and http://theory.esm.rochester.edu/headlam/webpage/headlam_border.html) of the Department of Music Theory at Eastman. They will be working on further improvments to the Physics of Music course (PHY103, see http://www.courses.rochester.edu/ddouglass/PHY103/index.html) which is offered in the Department of Physics and Astronomy every fall semester.
