To: Interested grad students.
Tomorrow, Wednesday November 2, there will be 3 guest lecturers in my class "Preparing for academic careers in engineering and science" -the chair of CS at SUNY Brockport, the chair of Chemistry at Nazareth, and a professor in Microelectronic Engineering at RIT. Each of them will make a presentation on what being a professor at their institution is, how to prepare for it, how to be successful at it, etc.
The class is from 4:30 to 6:30 pm in the Computer Studies Building, Room 523. All are welcome. This would be a good opportunity for your graduate students who are interested in pursuing an academic career in a university that is not research intensive to learn what this is all about.
