In the Rochester Curriculum, students are expected to pursue substantive and integrated study in each of the three general areas of study represented in the College. These general areas are the humanities, the social sciences, and the natural sciences (which include mathematics and engineering). All students need to complete at least one major in one of these three areas, as well as one cluster in each of the other two areas. A cluster is an approved set of three related courses in a given area. All must be completed with an average grade of C or better. Forms to register are located outside the Academic Services Center, Lattimore 312 . Information concerning cluster policies, brief descriptions, and divisional requirement can be obtained from the College's Cluster Home Page. The clusters listed below afford the non-scientist the opportunity to explore physics and astronomy from a variety of points of view and with an emphasis on themes related to our field (the sponsoring department for each of the below clusters is given in parentheses). Physics and physics and astronomy cluster pamphlets are located at the Department's Undergraduate Office, Bausch & Lomb 211.
