PHY 396B Supervised Science Writing I

Semester: Spring
Credit Hours: 2
Prerequisite: Primary Writing requirement and instructors permission.

Two-credit course. Students will learn to write science articles and proposals aimed at non-specialists (e.g., popular science articles and general grants). As part of the course, each student will be asked to write a draft science feature article about current research in his/her home department, aiming towards professional publication of the final article on the new UR Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Portal.(Course is cross-listed with PHY 496B).
