AST 171Q Astronomy by Inquiry I

Prerequisite: none; can be taken by non-majors; permission of instructor required

Students make their own astronomical observations, with the University's C.E.K. Mees Observatory, and use them as a basis for a quantitative understanding of gravity and the motions of planets and satellites in our solar system.
